Bendel Insurance unveils paul obata
We are happy to announced the signing of left winger, Paul Obata, our first acquisition for the upcoming 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
In a video on the club’s official Twitter handle, the first signing of the season was announced which has seen excitement from fans.
Obata’s football journey has seen him showcase his skills in various clubs across the country. He began his career with Akwa United and later went on to represent Warri Wolves and MFM FC.
In the announcement video, Obata expressed his delight at joining Bendel Insurance FC, acknowledging it as a great privilege to be part of the team. He emphasized his eagerness to contribute to the club’s success and help the team achieve their goals in the upcoming season and beyond.

Having already participated in training with the team, he expressed his admiration for the squad, stating that Bendel Insurance is the team he has always wanted to play for.
“I was part of the training yesterday and it is cool. Bendel Insurance is the team I want to play for.” Obata confidently stated in the announcement video.
With the NPFL new season just around the corner, Bendel Insurance FC is gearing up for intense competition. Notably, the club will also be participating in the CAF Confederations Cup next month, adding to the excitement surrounding the team’s preparations.
