Bendel Insurance Football Club,on Thursday, April 9,2026 began the defence of Edo State FA Cup title brilliantly as they defeated Delight Football Academy 2-1 to advance to the semifinals stage.
Kayode Oke gave the defending champions and early lead 11 minutes into 3rd quarter finals match at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium,Benin.
Delight FA however however rose to the occasion and got an equalizer through Chuka Nwaigwe in the 32nd minute of the game.
Skipper Efe Enabulele with a curled free kick struck from about 22 yards in the
77th minute to seal victory for the Benin Arsenals.
Bendel Insurance FC have been on bye since the start of the challenge Cup and will be facing. ST. Andrews FC in the semifinals. #
